Gary B. Faas (pictured on left), who was a founding member of the Caloosa Riders, passed away on May 29^th.  He was surrounded by his loving wife Janice, and his family.  Gary was a charter member and past President of the club.  He loved bicycling and especially the camaraderie of the club.  Gary worked diligently to advocate for better and more bicycle paths throughout Lee County.  He was a two-time veteran of both RAGBRAI and BRAG.  And to commemorate his 50^th High School Reunion, Gary rode his bike solo from Cape Coral to Marengo, Iowa.  His love of bicycle riding was truly contagious, as a result several members of his family are avid cyclists today.  A memorial fund has been set up in Gary’s name: The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 3715 Northside Parkway, Bldg. 400, Suite 300, Atlanta, GA 30327, Attn: Katie King.
